A unique art collection

Medieval art of Huis Bergh

In 1912 Jan Herman van Heek, a textile manufacturer from Enschede, purchased Huis Bergh Castle along with its associated properties. He brought together an important art collection and furnished the castle with it.

The collection grew into one of the most remarkable private art collections in the Netherlands.
